Plot of the Turkish drama Wounded Birds
The plot of the soap opera Wounded Birds, also known in its original language as Yarali Kuslar, centers on the story of two orphaned siblings. Meryem (Gizem Arıkan), the older sister is a young man who takes care of her adopted younger brother Ömer (Emre Mete Sönmez).
She was barely a teenager when a stranger handed a baby, the tiny Ömer, to her father. The father’s initial intention was to sell the baby, but he was imprisoned before he could carry out the baby’s sale.
So, Meryem takes charge of the younger one trying to keep him off the streets of Istanbul. But Ömer’s past hides a dark secret that both brothers are completely unaware of. Little Ömer is the kidnapped son of a very powerful man: Levent Metehanoglü (Ali Yasin Özegemen). The reason for the kidnapping was a power struggle for control of the family empire.
Everything comes to light when Ömer and Meryem are unexpectedly reunited with Levent, who had no hope of ever seeing his stolen son again, and a surprising dramatic adventure begins.
