Plot of the Turkish TV series The Club
The story of this series revolves around Matilda, a Jewish woman who after being released from prison after 17 years, wishes to meet her daughter Rashel after learning of her existence. She wishes to be able to forge a relationship with her daughter, to protect her, but things will not be easy, the city is in tension, due to the political instability that took place in the 50s.
Everything gets complicated for Matilda when she learns that her daughter sabotaged a nightclub, that’s when she is forced to sign a blank check and work in the club to pay the debt.
At the club she will meet her colleagues, a group of people of different creeds who will learn to overcome their differences to become a kind of family.
As the chapters go by, it will be known why Matilda fell in prison and why she opposes the relationship that Rashel has with a young Muslim cab driver who, according to her, has stolen her heart.
Seasons and episodes
So far, the series only has a single season and 6 episodes that range in length from 44 to 56 minutes each. The possibility of the series having more episodes and other seasons will depend on the reception of the series.
If the series does not meet the required audience, it will possibly be cancelled. Although, being a novel distributed by Netflix, this may not happen. We must give it time, since it only arrived on the platform on November 5.
