The Turkish series The Red Room, also known in its original language as “Kirmizi Oda”, is a soap opera that is still in production and has captured the attention of thousands of viewers.
The telenovela in question is based on the book The Inside of the Medallion, written by psychiatrist Gülseren Budaıcıoğlu. Thus, the stories and events narrated in the series are, in many cases, experiences of the doctor.

The Kirmizi Oda series takes us into the lives of doctors and patients in a psychiatric clinic, showing us the pains and sufferings of mental health patients. The medical staff consists of four therapists of different ages and experiences. The lives of doctors and patients will intertwine in each episode throughout the story.
Patients who arrive at the clinic are transferred to the Red Room, where they will open up and tell their entire lives and intimate secrets to psychiatrists and psychologists, in the hope of finding a cure and solution to their various problems.
In this way, the past of the patients is revealed, showing the difficult moments they had to endure and that in one way or another affect their present and future. These afflicted men have not confided their secrets to anyone, not even their loved ones, and keeping those secrets makes them sick, but they also fear that the truth of their lives, thoughts and emotions will be discovered.
The bond of trust between doctor and patient will be very important for the patient to be able to walk the path of healing normally. However, this bond of trust transcends the professional to reach deeper feelings.
Thus, people walk the path of liberation from their traumas to reach a state of joy and tranquility.
