Plot of the drama Love at War
The story of this Turkish TV series centers on Kurt Seyit Eminof, who is a prominent lieutenant in the army of Tsar Nicholas II, who himself is the last of the Romanov dynasty. Kurt was born in the Crimean peninsula and belongs to a Tatar family of Turkish origin, deeply traditional and practicing Islam.
During World War I, on one of his returns from the front, Lieutenant Kurt attends a ball in the city of St. Petersburg, where he meets Alexandra Verjenskaya, who is known as Sura. She is a member of a noble Russian family. When she appears before the high society at that ball, she will meet Kurt, and begin a romance that will run into many obstacles.
However, the uprising commanded by the Bolshevik party will force the couple to leave their native Russia for a place where they can finally be happy. In this way, Kurt and his beloved will arrive in the incredible Istanbul, a city that by then was occupied by the British.
But Seyit will not arrive there for vacation, since, being in Istanbul, he will begin to collaborate with the Russian resistance.
