The series The Innocents is an adaptation of the famous novel “Madalyonun Ici” by Turkish writer Gulseren Budaycioglu and tells the story of Han, a young, charismatic and successful businessman facing a difficult family situation. Since returning from the US, the young man has made it his mission to devote himself entirely to the care of his ailing father, a man named Hikmet.
In addition, Han also has to take care of his three sisters: Safiye, Gulben and Neriman who, as a result of different traumas, all three suffer to a greater or lesser extent from certain psychological problems. Such is the case of Safiye, the eldest sister, who suffers from an obsessive compulsive disorder related to cleanliness.
On the other side of the story is Inci, a girl who, as a result of being abandoned by her father when she was a child, has now created a situation of emotional dependency. She projects this disorder onto her boyfriend, who, despite being an alcoholic, she is unable to leave him.
But when she decides to leave him, he surprises her by proposing marriage. Inci, bewildered and dazed, decides to leave the place, but on the way, while driving, she crashes into another car, which turns out to be Han’s car. She decides to take him to the hospital as an emergency, and since there is no one to accompany him, she decides to take care of him.
Thus unfolds this love drama between two different people going through different difficulties in their lives.
The story of the TV series Innocents (Masumlar Apartmani) is about Inci and her relationship with Han, who takes care of her two cleaning freak sisters.
