Plot of the Turkish series Bandits
The plot of EDHO (That’s the acronym of the series) focuses on Hizir Cakirbeyli, who is a wealthy young man who got into the underworld after his brother has been murdered. From there he vowed to go against justice, so he starts producing weaponry for the mafia boss.
Hizir is characterized as a man that everyone can trust, known for his loyalty and for being unable to betray those who work with him.
Hizir works with Unal, who sells armaments to Turkey’s enemies. This is of great concern to the government, which sees in Hizir the way to dismantle this business that puts the country in check.
This is how the government contacts Hizir and proposes him to become the top leader of the mafia once they eliminate Unal. Hizir will stop selling weapons to the government’s enemies and will remain loyal to his nation.
But not everything will be so easy, since Hizir does not want to betray the people he works with, while at the same time he wants to keep his family out of the whole situation. That is why he intends to refuse the government’s offer.
However, Hizir will also have personal problems. The young man is having an extramarital affair with a girl. His wife, Meryem, can tolerate his disrespect for her, but not for his children. So, when Hizir’s mistress becomes pregnant by him, Meryem will do everything she can to prevent the baby from being born.
