Turkish series usually feature drama, romance and comedy soap operas. So rarely can we see a Turkish series that presents us with a story of suspense, action, let alone these genres mixed with humor.
However, one of the latest Turkish series brings together precisely all of the above: suspense, action and black humor. We are talking about the series 50m², which is one of the latest Turkish productions.

The story of the action thriller TV series revolves around a mysterious hitman named Gölge (Shadow). This young man does the dirty work of Servet Nadir, who is a corrupt businessman who raised him since he was a child when he found him lost in the street.
However, Gölge has always been looking for his family, until one day he finds a clue that can lead him to them. From that moment on, everything changes for young Gölge. He betrays his employer, and the latter begins to persecute him. Then, by mistake, some merchants in a suburb mistake him for the heir of a tailor who has just died.
Gölge decides to seize the opportunity and takes the identity of the deceased tailor’s son. He will take possession of the 50m2 store in order to hide from his enemies. He will try to help his neighbors and become a new Gölge. However, nothing will be as easy as he thinks, as he has a lot to hide and a lot to learn.
Because after all, getting a second chance is not so difficult, but making the most of it is more complicated than it seems.
Seasons and episodes
The series premiered in January 2021 and currently has only one season of 8 chapters. The duration of each complete chapter ranges between 30-50 minutes.
This series highlights the difference between the “classic” conventional Turkish soap operas, which can have up to 100 episodes of up to 120 minutes each, and this new Turkish Netflix series, whose story is told in short episodes.
Cast of the series 50 m2
Contrary to what one might think, this series is not headed by a director or screenwriter responsible for some of the big international hits of recent Turkish soap operas. Rather, 50m2 has been directed by Selçuk Aydemir and written by Burak Aksak, personalities little known in the industry.
As for the cast, it is headed by Engin Öztürk, who participated in the famous soap opera Fatmagül. The cast of the series is as follows.
