Tide Turkish Series Plot
This Turkish TV drama is an adaptation of the successful series The O.C. The plot centers on a young boy named Yaman, who lives in a poor neighborhood in Istanbul with his mother, brother and stepfather.
Yaman is an honest, hardworking and struggling teenager, however, one day his life will change drastically. Because one day his brother steals a car at a gas station, and since Yaman was accompanying him at the time, he is accused of being an accomplice and immediately arrested.
However, Selim Serez, the lawyer who defends him, sees in Yaman an incredible talent, so he decides to take him to live in his house because he thinks that such talent cannot be wasted. At first Yaman refuses, but when he sees that he is being thrown out of his house, he accepts the offer.
Selim thus becomes his benefactor, even introducing him as his eldest son to his social circle. The lawyer asks Yaman to complete his architectural studies and achieve his life goals.
For Yaman this is an incredible opportunity, as he feels very comfortable in such a home, befriending the lawyer’s son and also falling in love with the neighbor despite being from different social classes.
And so develops this plot that far from being superficial, deals with issues such as crime, dependence on social networks, alcohol, parties, humiliation due to social inequalities and hypocrisy hidden behind charities.
