Plot of the Turkish series In Between (Fatih Harbiye)
This Turkish series is an adaptation of the novel Fatih-Harbiye, written by Turkish writer Peyami Safa.
The story is based on a girl named Neriman, who lost her mother when she was just a child, which is why she now has to live with her father and aunt in the humble neighborhood of Fatih, located in the city of Istanbul.
Neriman is a good girl who dreams of going far in life and earning enough money to help her family. Since she was a child, she has had only one love: Sinasi, an honest and hard-working young man who lives in the same neighborhood.
Sinasi has never hesitated to express and show her love for Neriman. In fact, he hopes to marry her soon. However, the relationship that seemed to be going well, begins to crumble little by little when the young woman notices that Sinasi becomes aggressive in times of argument.
At the same time, Neriman meets Pelin and Doygu, two cousins who belong to a different social class, being part of the high society of the Harbiye neighborhood. Pelin, who despises his cousin, decides to invite her to a party in order to make fun of her. However, attending the party will change Neriman’s life completely.
At the party, Neriman will meet Macit, Pelin’s fiancé, who, despite being wealthy and having plans with Pelin, will fall surrender to Neriman’s feet.
