Plot of the Turkish series Tutsak
The story of the TV drama Tutsak revolves around Elif, a beautiful, cheerful and proud young woman, whose wish is to be able to have a life full of hope. However, life does not smile on her, and one-day misfortune strikes her when her family dies.
This circumstance forces the young woman to marry Sudullah, a man 30 years older than her, who keeps her subdued, forbidding her to leave the house, keeping her under constant threat, and blackmailing her with revealing dark secrets of her family.
This is how Elif begins to live like a prisoner, she finds herself captive in her own home, prey to a man who has done nothing but takes advantage of her situation.
Elif’s life takes a turn when Sudullah robs the Gurhan family bank and goes on the run, thus disappearing from Elif’s life. So now the young girl is left alone and helpless in a world foreign to her.
But, one day she will meet Bahadir, who reaches out to her and helps her by bringing her into the Gurhan family, the family for whom Elif will work. There she meets Kenan, the son of the Gurhans, who takes an interest in Elif.
