Ezel Turkish TV Series Plot

The story of the Turkish series Ezel focused on Ömer Uçar who is a young man who 1997 returns from military service and is betrayed by his fiancée Eyşan and his friends Ali and Cengiz, who accuse him of theft and murder for which he is sentenced to life imprisonment.

While in prison he is frequently tortured to confess where the money is. One day a guard who was in charge of him disfigures his face, so Ömer takes the opportunity to kill him, start a fire, fake his death and flee.

However, Ömar did not have in mind to leave everything as it was, since 12 years later he returns and recreates himself under the name of Ezel, a talented and successful poker player. However, Ömar’s goal was not exactly to make money but to plan his revenge against those who murdered them.

Ezel, an adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo.

Ezel is not an original story, but rather is overtly inspired by Alexandre Dumas’ popular novel, The Count of Monte Cristo. Which is a classic not only of the adventure genre but also of literature.

Of course, it should be mentioned that an adaptation and a source of inspiration are not the same things, so Ezel is not attached to the original story of the novel.
