Plot of the Turkish TV series Maral
The story of this Turkish soap opera does not deviate much from what has been seen before in other similar series. However, in the world of television and film, it is not so much the originality of a story that matters, but the way in which it is told.
The series that awaits us tells the story of Maral, a young girl who, when she was five years old, lost her parents in an accident and was left in the care of her grandparents.
Orphaned at an early age and from humble beginnings, Maral’s only ambition was to become CEO of Luna, a luxury department store.
So, in order to achieve her goal, she takes the first step, which is to work as a waitress in a pastry shop. There she meets Sarp, the chocolate chef, with whom she falls in love at first sight.
However, Sarp has his own reasons for working there. His purpose is to destroy Luna’s glamorous world from within.
As fate would have it, Maral gets the chance to become temporary manager of the store. However, the longer she stays in her job and the closer she gets to achieving her dream, the more people appear in her way to harm her.
Two big questions then arise: Will her ambition win out over love, and will Sarp succeed in destroying the store Maral loves so much?
